Be good to your people. Your content stays yours. We'll run SameOrbit as well as a tiny team can, and we'll always be straight with you about its limits.
SameOrbit is invite-only by structure: you get in when a community you belong to joins. Your account is yours alone. Keep your login to yourself, and know that what happens on your account is your responsibility.
Everything you share stays yours: your profile, your pins, your notes, your gatherings. By posting it, you give us permission to store it and show it to the communities you chose. That permission is the entire product, and it ends when you delete your things or your account.
People share where they are because they trust their communities. Honor that. Using someone's presence to follow, harass, or surveil them is the one unforgivable thing here. We will remove you for it, immediately and without a refund of anything.
Break these and we'll remove your account. We'll tell you why.
We run SameOrbit carefully, but it's software built by a small team. It will sometimes break, and when it does we'll say so plainly instead of pretending otherwise. The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind.
Here's the one paragraph our lawyer would insist on: to the maximum extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using SameOrbit, and our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the past twelve months. Right now, that's nothing.
SameOrbit is free right now. If that ever changes, you'll hear it from us plainly and ahead of time. No surprise charges, no features held hostage.
Leave whenever you like. Delete your account and your data goes with it, as described in our privacy policy. No exit survey, no guilt trip.
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell you in plain words before the change takes effect.
Write to us at hello@sameorbit.app. A person reads it.
